Owner Assistance for AOL Users

The Issue

If you are a member of AOL, it is highly likely that you will encounter some problems when trying to login to the Owners Area. Unfortunately AOL takes a view of life that does not confirm to the W3C standards as set down by the Internet standards body. Whilst they can choose to take this view, it does go against the these standards and leads to problems when web sites use certain features. In this case we are using cookies (something which is much debated) but is an essential part of the Internet. This means that whilst using the AOL browser you would be unable to maintain your Mobile Home. There is a simple way around this issue and we have fully documented the solution below.

Session Cookies
SmartBookers do use session cookies for the temporary storage of your Owner ID whilst navigating the Owner Area. Whilst there are many ways of carrying the Owner ID throughout the site, cookies are the most secure and well practised methodology for this. We only store a unique number for the duration of the session (i.e. the length of time your browser window is open) after which it is automatically removed. At no time does this cookie hold either confidential information about you or your vans.
