Full Description
Lakeland Leisure Park is situated at Moor Lane, Flookburgh. This is about 7 miles from Grange-over-Sands and within easy reach of the Southerly Lakes such as Windermere, Coniston & Tarn Hows. Other popular local attractions include Hawkshead, Grizedale Forrest Visitor Centre, South Lakes Wildlife Park at Dalton, Furness Abbey, Holker Hall, Laurel & Hardy Museum (Ulverston).
Whilst access by road is recommended the nearest station is at Cark around 3 miles away and buses run from the nearby village of Flookburgh. We are also close to the local parachute centre if there are any daredevils amongst our visitors. On the airfield they regularly hold a Sunday market during the main Summer months if you want to pick up a few bargains during your stay!
The park has a wide range of recreational/leisure facilities including Indoor & Outdoor Swimming, Family Club, Bars, Restaurant, Amusements, Bowling (All-weather), Children's play areas, Tennis and a Large sports field for Football, Basketball etc. A full sized 9 hole golf course is now open with a pitch and put also available for novices.
In 2009 a new swimming pool was opened. The park also runs a 'Bradley Bear' club with organised events for youngsters.
There is a 'Spar' shop on site albeit for main shopping its worth a trip to the Booths supermarket at Ulverston (after which the fitter ones may fancy a walk up to the Hoad Monument if its a nice day...).
Please note that leisure passes are not included in our prices & are as per the British Holidays brochure. On the site we are located away from the Leisure Centre on a quiet close which is just a short walk away from the tennis courts. Its a few minutes walk to the leisure centre but the more spacious layout & quieter surroundings more than make up for this.
Our caravan is an Atlas Solitaire model with 2 bedrooms and an additional pull out bed. The bedrooms are either en suite or with adjacent shower room and all have duvets although own sheets and duvet covers/pillowcases need to be taken by hirers. The caravan is 37 foot long model and has a spacious lounge & dining area with a modern kitchen with all the usual accessories i.e. microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee maker etc. The main cooker/oven is run on Calor gas. The accomodation is ideal for up to 4/5 people. Apart from the kitchen all areas are carpeted with each room also having cupboard space/wardrobes. We also have had a sun deck fitted which provides guests greater enjoyment in the sunnier months! Tables & chairs and BBQ are provided with a parasol stored inside when not in use together with cushions for the chairs
A £50 refundable deposit is added to the rental fee quoted and this is refundable subject to hirers leaving in a clean and tidy condition for the next users (checklist supplied).
Short breaks can be considered outside school holiday weeks.



Terms & Conditions
1.TERMS: All terms are per week (Sat-Sat at Glan Gwna and at Lakelands, unless other start dates can be arranged) for the holiday home as equipped and described. The usual time of arrival is 3pm at Lakelands and 4pm at Glan Gwna although earlier start times can sometimes be arranged if vacated early. You are obliged to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition. Departure time is 10am at Glan Gwna or 2pm at Lakelands (when 'self clean' terms are accepted). You are also responsible for any damage or loss sustained during your stay. 2.BOOKING CONFIRMATION: The submission of a written booking request and confirmation by the owner shall constitute a formal contract between the client and the owners. 3.NUMBER IN PARTY: The booking is entered into on the basis that the total number in the party shall not exceed the capacity of the holiday accommodation (5 persons at Glan Gwna and 4 persons at Lakelands). 4.BOOKING MONIES: The initial £50 deposit shall be made at the time of booking with the balance of any monies due being payable at least 28 days before the holiday start date. If the balance is not received within 21 days of the booking date then we shall send a reminder but if still not received within 14 days of the booking date we reserve the right to re-let the holiday week. 5.CANCELLATIONS: Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer cancellation insurance thus hirers should consider taking suitable insurance against the risk of cancellation due to unexpected circumstances. In the event of cancellation please advise us in writing as soon as possible. If we are successful in re-letting the holiday at the same price we will only deduct a £15 administration fee although if we cannot re-let the holiday booking in full the deposit will be forfeited: 6.LINEN/TOWELS etc: At Glan Gwna and Lakelands quilts and pillows are provided for use by up to 5 persons (Glan Gwna) and 4 persons (Lakelands). Guests are therefore required to take their own duvet/pillow case covers, sheets and towels. 7.AVAILABILITY: Should it not be possible to provide the accommodation to you on the dates specified due to reasons beyond our control e.g. fire, theft, damage etc we will return all monies paid in full on the basis that you will have no claim against the owners or their agents. 8.YOUR PET: You may bring your dog with you subject to the owners specific consent. Well behaved pets are allowed on the basis that you bring your own pet basket with you and that in no circumstances are pets allowed on bedding/chairs nor are they left unattended for long periods in the holiday accommodation. 9.ANY SHORTCOMINGS: You are asked to notify the owners immediately so that any problems can be remedied for you as soon as possible. No claims can be accepted for any shortcomings not advised in this way unless the problem did not arise until later in your stay. Replacement items costing up to £25 will be re-imbursed upon presentation of receipts – anything larger needs prior approval by the owners please. 10. No re-letting of the accomodation is allowed.
